- What is the capacity of students per class?
20 students per class for all stages. To increase one-on-one attention given to students in the Foundation stage, Foundation classes have both a class teacher and an assistant teacher.
- When is the school's weekend and what are the school's holidays?
As per the Synod of the Nile’s consistent policy for all of its schools:
Weekends are on Fridays and Sundays.
The mid-year vacation is the same as that of National-system schools.
National holidays are determined by the Ministry of Education.
- How many semesters does BRS have?
Two semesters.
- Are there any foreign teachers?
No, BRS teachers are highly-qualified and experienced Egyptians.
- Do you offer a second language?
Student may choose either French or German as a second language as of Foundation 1. The second language is listening-only in the Foundation stages.
- Is there any discount for my second child?
Yes, there is a 10% discount for the second child.
- Are there any registration or “donation” fees?
Upon acceptance, new applicants must meet the “registration fee” deadline to ensure their placement. The registration fees are basically the 1st installment.
BRS does not require any “donation” fees.
- Do you accept new students from National, French or German schools?
Yes, but as with all applicants, acceptance is contingent upon the student's score on the entry exam.
- Does BRS accept students into Year 8?
Because Year 8 is a Cambridge checkpoint, students will undergo Cambridge examinations that cover both Year 7 and 8 curricula. Therefore BRS can only accept students transferring into Year 8 from international schools that follow the Cambridge curriculum.
- Can my BRS IGCSE son/daughter enroll in an IG subject elsewhere?
BRS does not permit its students to enroll in an IG subject outside of the school as long as the subject is offered by BRS.
- What are the bus fees, routes, and application?
Bus fees are fixed for all routes regardless of distance .
Bus route availability depends on the number of students applying for that particular route, and will be announced at the beginning of the academic year.
The bus application date will be posted on the school website.
